Hip Tension Release (plus lower back & hamstrings)

Sunday, January 17, 2021       10:30 am to noon

Yogic tradition holds the hips as a storage ground for negative feelings and pent-up emotions, especially ones related to control in our lives. This workshop will guide you through a series of gentle to moderate poses that will open the hips, stretch the legs, and work the pesky lower back.

Zumba Toning Series

Tuesdays, January 19 to February 23, 2021       5:15 to 6:30 pm

Zumba Toning is perfect for those who want to party, but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles! The challenge of adding resistance by using or light weights, helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged! The weights enhances sense of rhythm and coordination, while toning target zones, including arms, core and lower body.
This class is being offered as a 6 week series. Credit will not be offered for classes missed by a participant.

Mindful Mindset Meditation Workshop

Sunday, January 31, 2021       5:30 to 7:00 pm

Mediation is a powerful tool for stress reduction, reducing anxiety, and creating a sense of calmness in the body and mind. Mindfulness meditation creates the opportunity to connect in the present moment and move through the minds entanglements of thoughts, worries, emotions, etc. With practice, participants are able to enter stressful situations with a sense of equanimity and clarity.
This workshop will explore various types of meditation such as, mindfulness, guided, metta, etc. As well as ways to use them in your everyday life. The 90 minutes will include instruction and meditation, as well as, take home information for further practice!

Opening the Heart (plus shoulders & upper back)

Sunday, February 14, 2021       10:30 to noon

Opening the Heart (plus the shoulders and upper back) Workshop will work the shoulders and upper back then focus on spreading love into the world with relaxing restorative poses. 
The workshop will begin with deep breathing techniques to strengthen the inner costal muscles, open the rib cage and thoracic cavity. The offer various poses designed to stretch and strengthen the shoulders, upper back, and chest. Ending with a guided meditation to open the thought and emotional heart space, with restful restorative poses.

Restorative Yoga Workshop

Sunday, February 28, 2021       5:30 to 7:00 pm

Take time out of your busy life to let go and renew at our Restorative Yoga Workshop. Restorative Yoga is a gentle therapeutic style of yoga that uses props to support the body in restful still positions. The focus is to quiet the mind and restore the central nervous system. It a soothing and nurturing practice. Deeply relax and feel refreshed after an hour and a half group session.

Yoga for Feet and Ankles

Sunday, March 14, 2021       10:30 to noon

So many of us under estimate the strain we put on our feet and ankles every day. The ankle is a small but incredible important joint that we may not notices until something is wrong. 
In this workshop we will explore various exercises to assist in reducing ankle & foot pain and inflammation, increase awareness of position to improve balance, and reduce the risk of ankle sprains. With proper care to the foot and ankle you may even loose weight; after all, your feet bear every pound you carry and with healthier feet you'll be able to move better.

Full Moon Restorative Yoga Workshop

Sunday, March 28, 2021       5:30 to 7:00 pm

Harness the power of the full moon and take time out of your busy life to let go and renew. The practice will begin with breath work, encouraging you to focus on the breath throughout the session. We will then move into gentle poses to warm up the body and release stuck energy. Next, 
transitioning to gentle therapeutic Restorative Yoga poses, using props to support the body in restful still positions. The focus is to quiet the mind and restore the central nervous system. It a soothing and nurturing practice. You will feel refreshed and energized as you move through your week after an 90 minute group session.
