Acupuncture is a gentle, holistic therapy rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Using sterile, ultra-thin needles, acupuncture stimulates specific points in the body to release energetic blockages, activate the nervous system, and support the body’s natural healing process. It is known to improve both physical and emotional well-being.

Common conditions acupuncture may help with include:

  • Pain: back, neck, knee, arthritis, and muscle pain

  • Headaches & migraines

  • Menstrual discomfort & menopause symptoms

  • Sports injuries & repetitive strain issues

  • IBS & digestive concerns

  • Immune support

  • Pregnancy discomforts

  • Infertility support

  • Nerve pain & neuropathy

  • Cancer treatment side effects

  • I highly recommend Dr. Stephanie Carey-Northrop who is a part of the Body Karma family, for a number of skeletal and muscular issues. She sees you as a whole person and will suggest a number of strategies and treatments accordingly. I have had acupuncture for years with a number of different practitioners and none have gone beyond the standard acupuncture and included other facets of Chinese medicine. I just think so highly of her and feel like I've found a practitioner who can work with and augment traditional medicine with Chinese medicine to provide the best care. She also runs a great yoga class on Monday mornings and monthly yoga/acupunture events at the studio.
